Mistakes to Avoid While doing Juicing

These days more and more people are opting for juicing as a lifestyle because of the health benefits the juices offer and also because they are just so delicious. If you have a good juicer, juicing does not seem like much of a work at all. With the wide feed chute they offer, you do not even have to cut up the fruits before adding them to the juicer and the simple cleanup they offer motivates you to make fresh homemade juices every single day. The newest cold press juicers make sure that maximum nutrients and healthy enzymes are extracted from the fruits and vegetables and the juice is as nutritious and delicious as possible.  Although juicing is not that hard and anybody can do it with a little experience, there are a few common mistakes which you must avoid while juicing:

Too much sweetness:

Juicing is an excellent way to get most of the essential nutrients directly into your bloodstream but the fruits you add are also a direct source of sugars.  Lot of fructose from the fruits can elevate your blood sugar levels. You need to limit the amount of fructose in your juices and therefore limit the amount of fruits that you add. Instead you can add just a little bit of fruits for enhancing the flavor and rest can be healthy vegetables.

Not using greens:

Another mistake that most people make is to avoid the addition of green vegetables to the juices they make. Try adding green vegetables to your juices since they offer many health benefits. After a while you will get used to the flavor and even start to enjoy green juices. These vegetables are packed with useful nutrients and rich in chlorophyll which helps supply oxygen to your body and cleans it of impurities and toxins. They also help improve your blood circulation and boost your energy levels.

Not consuming it while it’s fresh:

This is another common mistake which most people make. You should not save some of the juice for consuming later on since it will not stay fresh for long and thus be unsuitable for consumption. Exposure to air and light will start destroying most of the healthy nutrients and antioxidants with each passing minute. Even if you cannot consume it right away, you should place it in an opaque airtight container and store it in the refrigerator. Even in the refrigerator, you should consume if before 24 hours.

Not using a cold press juicer:

If you have a traditional juicer at home, chances are that it is a centrifugal juicer and not a Cold Press Juicer. You need to invest in one of the latest juicer varieties that are available in the market by the name of cold press juicer since they use a special technique of slow juicing to make sure that most of the nutrients and healthy enzymes are retained in the juice drink. Your old centrifugal variety destroys most of these nutrients through the excessive heat that it produces.
